Programme Description:

 The 1-year full-time  Certificate in Internetwork System Specialist equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills (e.g. in security, networks, internet and computer hardware) to pursue a career in Computer Hardware Systems, Internet-related Information Technology, Wireless Networking, Voice Over IP systems and related fields.

 

 It enables students to be specialists in the Windows Server environment.  They will be able to install and manage Microsoft Networks, using all available technologies for both LAN’s and WIDE Area Networks, using CISCO technologies for e.g. VPN’s, VLAN’S.

All South African applicants must meet the following list of entry requirements to be eligible for admission.

 

NSC

·         National Senior Certificate

·         Minimum of 30 – 39% in the language of learning and teaching of the institution. In our case it is English.

·         Recommended (but not compulsory) subjects:  This could include Design, Visual Art, Art, Engineering Graphics and Design or Computer Application Technology (C.A.T.)

 

Please refer to Department of Higher Education Act, 1997 (Act 101 of 1997), Minimum Admission Requirements for Higher Certificate, Diploma and Bachelor’s degree programmes requiring a National Senior Certificate.
