Programme Description:

The student will be equipped to communicate with the public by sharing information in amore visual manner and definitely more eye catching. This program is developed to teach you all there is to know about the principles and aspects behind photographic and graphic design, layout and to present information in a visual manner. You will receive extensive training in design, typography, composition, digital paint, and photography and illustration techniques. Training includes knowledge of pre-press production, photo manipulation and a comprehensive understanding of the overall business of a graphic- and photographic design studio.

All South African applicants must meet the following lit of entry requirements to be eligible for admission.

·         NSC

·         National Senior Certificate

·         Minimum of 30% – 39% in the language of learning and teaching of the institution (in our case it is English).

·         Minimum achievement rating of 4, 50%-59% or better in four designated subjects.  

·         Recommended (but not compulsory) subjects:  This could include Visual Art, Engineering Graphics and Design, Information Technology, Physical Sciences or History.

 

Please refer to Department of Higher Education Act, 1997 (Act 101 of 1997), Minimum Admission Requirements for Higher Certificate, Diploma and Bachelor’s degree programmes requiring a National Senior Certificate.
