FUN DAY FOR charity

At Prestige Academy our students and staff cannot get enough of community outreach. We care for those in need of a better quality of life; therefore we are constantly exploring new ideas to make a difference in communities that need it the most.

Recently our lecturers and students participated in celebrating Madiba’s birthday (Mandela Day). Our students created ‘Happy Birthday Madiba’ posters, dressed up and painted their faces for charity, while the staff planted an olive tree at the entrance to the main campus building.

On Saturday 28 July, Prestige Academy hosted its first ‘Fun Day for Charity’ event. The Scrapbook in Bellville, the Ceres Beverage Group, Shopprite and an anonymous sponsor all contributed to this new event on our annual calendar through significant sponsorships. We invited 33 kids from different “safe homes” for a day of fun with us. The purpose of this event was to share love and care to them in a fun activity-based way. The program included entertainment, musical items, a magician show, face painting, biscuit art and many more.

The enthusiastic and energetic participation of the children throughout the program served as proof that this event was a huge success. It will now become a fixed event in future.
